Nola Autonomous Actions Policy

How the agent plans and executes actions, where human confirmation is required, and what decisions cannot be fully automated.

Version 1.0Updated October 23, 2026

1. The principle of controlled autonomy

Nola operates autonomously within the purpose, context, limits and permissions specified by the user. Autonomy does not mean unlimited authority: the agent must act within the scope of the task, and the user retains the ability to observe, stop execution, and revoke access.

2. What the agent can do independently

  • Draw up and adjust the research plan.
  • Search for legally available public information and compare sources.
  • Extract, analyze and organize data from authorized files.
  • Create draft documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and code.
  • Repeat reversible technical steps if necessary for the result.

3. Actions that require explicit confirmation

  • Payments, money transfers, purchases, or starting a paid subscription.
  • Publishing, sending a message to an external recipient, or making a commitment on behalf of a user.
  • Deleting data or changing a password, access rights, or security settings.
  • Uploading sensitive data to an external service or providing a new integration.
  • Actions with significant legal, financial or reputational consequences.

4. Prohibited full automation

Without meaningful human control, Nola cannot be trusted to make decisions that determine a person's rights, access, or life chances.

  • Hiring, firing, evaluating an employee or candidate.
  • Credit, insurance, housing or access to basic services.
  • Medical diagnosis, treatment or emergency care.
  • Legal decision, law enforcement, migration or judicial status.
  • Student assessment, biometric identification or prediction of criminal behavior.

5. Permissions and third-party services

The user confirms that he has the right to connect the selected accounts and data. Permissions should be issued on a minimum necessary basis. The terms and restrictions of the third party platform will continue to apply regardless of Nola.

If a third-party site displays a warning, verification, or manual action request, the agent should not bypass such a measure. The user must independently complete the step or terminate the task.

6. Checking the result

  • Verify important facts with primary sources and the date of their publication.
  • Review the recipient, amount, file, and text before confirming an external action.
  • Do not use generated code, formulas, or documents in a critical system without testing and appropriate expert review.
  • Report unexpected behavior and revoke access after task completion if it is no longer needed.

By continuing to use Nola after the document comes into force, the user accepts its current version to the extent permitted by law.
